Finance Assistant (Student Position – Copenhagen)

At Scaleup Finance we support some of Denmark’s most ambitious entrepreneurs with their entire finance setup. From bookkeeping and payroll to monthly reporting, budgeting, cashflow management and CFO advisory, we help startups and SMEs stay in control and scale with confidence.

We are now looking for a new Finance Assistant to join our Copenhagen team. The role is part-time during studies with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position after graduation.

What you’ll be doing

As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for a portfolio of our clients and help ensure their finance function runs smoothly and professionally. 

You will work closely with experienced CFOs and Finance Specialists and quickly build the skillset normally gained through years in traditional finance roles. You will be an important part of our team operating in the field of startups, SMEs and venture capital.

Your responsibilities include:

• General financial management (bookkeeping, controlling, reconciliations, etc.)

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for clients

• Supporting with budgets, cashflow forecasts, and financial models (Excel)

• Working directly with founders and management teams on their financial needs

  
  

What we’re looking for

Personality, drive, and values matter most. We will teach you the rest. That said, we imagine you can tick several - if not all of the following boxes:

• You study a bachelor or master in economics, finance, accounting, International Business, or a similar programme

• You take pride in delivering high-quality work.

• You are comfortable in Excel (experience with e-conomic is a plus)

• You are ambitious, structured, curious, and motivated by helping clients succeed

• Danish fluency is an advantage but not a requirement
