As our next Head of Startup Relations, you have a unique opportunity to be one of the driving forces shaping the future of the organization!

The Role 

In your role as the Head of Startup Relations, you take part in the following: 

• Working hands-on with startups, be it sourcing, interviewing, analyzing, helping, accelerating or scaling them.

• Generating and analyzing deal flow for our startup initiatives.

• Analyzing (different) markets, customer profiles and future trends.

About you 

This is a rare opportunity for anyone passionate about learning the ins and outs of early-stage startup building, what sets the successful founders apart, and how to scale that recipe to a large pool of companies. We don’t expect you to fully master these things when you join, but rather are looking for someone eager to learn and grow into the role.

• You have solid experience in working with startups. You might have been a founder or an operator in the past or have work experience in the ecosystem.

• You are passionate about entrepreneurship and have the drive to help others.

• You take initiative and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, proactive and unstructured environment.

• You take ownership and are ambitious to develop new concepts.

What to expect when joining the team:

• We pay every full-time Kiuas team member the same salary of 3000€ per month.

• Your personal network will grow exponentially. In this position, you are in constant contact with ambitious and mission-driven founders, prominent business angels, and venture capitalists. Be prepared to get inspired!

• We are probably biased, but you get to become a part of a great team. We are a compact team with a strong team spirit.

• You will become an expert on how to take a startup idea from 0 to 1. You get to observe and learn how great founders build companies and then turn those learnings into action with dozens and dozens of early-stage founders.

• We work flexibly both remotely and on-site in Otaniemi. We are happy with the hybrid model and it is important that all team members have a chance to do team days at the office as well.

2. 30-minute interview

   ◦ Getting to know you and your previous experiences better, and assessing your fit for the role.

3. Assignment + final interview (on-site)

   ◦ We’ll give you an assignment to better understand how you make decisions, prioritize and analyze tasks. The assignment and interview will happen on-site at our office in Otaniemi. During the interview we will discuss your preferred ways of working and team culture.
