Business Developer – Health Tech Pathways

Salary Competitive

Health Tech Hub Copenhagen (HTHC), a leading non-profit organization in health tech innovation, is seeking an ambitious Business Developer to our new Health Tech Pathways (HTP) platform. Health Tech Pathways is a revolutionary, AI-powered tech platform – backed by a DKK 32 million grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation – designed to help health tech startups navigate regulatory approvals faster and more transparently.

In this full-time, mid-level role (3–8 years of experience) based in Copenhagen, you will work at the intersection of health tech innovation, partnerships, business development, sales and communications.

We’re looking for a proactive and operationally strong business developer who ideally is also strategic thinker, to join our core project team. The HTP team consists of 3-5 people, plus external vendors and partners, who over the next 5 years will design, develop, launch and operate the digital platform Health Tech Pathways.

Your main objective will be building and managing relationships across startups, accelerators, universities, and industry partners, spearhead events and community engagement. You will help built a sales pipeline and play a key role in transforming relationships into customers.

You’ll be part of a strong, open-minded and creative team, and we expect you to contribute to both short-term and long-term development of the organisation. We’re looking for someone who can identify new opportunities, challenge assumptions, and bring well-founded ideas to the table.

This is a business developer role for a person who thrives on ownership, is a team player, can balance vision with hands-on execution, enjoys relationship building, and is excited about making a tangible impact in healthcare. Ideally, you also have insights into the challenges around quality assurance regulatory approvals.

Main responsibilities

  • Partnerships: Create and manage relationships with key partners (accelerators, universities, regulatory service providers, notified bodies, etc.), both in Denmark and internationally, to expand the Health Tech Pathways network.

  • Events: Together with the HTHC team, plan and lead relevant health tech events, workshops, and community meet-ups (primarily in Denmark, with some international engagements) to foster collaboration and showcase the HTP platform.

  • Product Growth: Support the growth of HTP as both a digital product and a business unit within HTHC, aligning development and community feedback with our strategic goals.

  • Sales Pipeline: Build a pipeline of prospective users/clients in anticipation of the platform’s sales launch (planned for Q3/Q4 2025) and lay the groundwork for leading sales efforts in 2026.

Other tasks

  • Communications & Marketing: Together with the HTHC team oversee communications and marketing for HTP – managing our LinkedIn presence, creating engaging content for web and social media, and executing campaigns that drive platform awareness.

  • Representation: Represent Health Tech Pathways (and HTHC) at conferences, industry events, and partner meetings – serving as an ambassador for our mission and expanding our reach.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the core Health Tech Pathways team and collaborate with HTHC colleagues in sales, events, and marketing to ensure cohesive strategy and knowledge-sharing across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–8 years of experience in partnerships, business development, sales, or a related role – preferably within health tech, digital health, or the startup/innovation ecosystem.

  • Relationship-Building: Proven ability to cultivate and manage strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships across diverse organizations.

  • Sales: Experience with sales. Relationships and pipelines need to be converted to customers as our product matures. Experience with sales on a SaaS platform, of digital services or other types of sales are therefore an advantage.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience in content creation, social media management (especially LinkedIn), and/or marketing communications.

  • Event & Project Management: Hands-on experience planning events or programs and managing projects. Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and timelines.

  • CRM: Experience with CRM tools to systematize outreach, follow-ups, and partnership management.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable taking initiative and working independently in a fast-paced environment. You think strategically but also enjoy rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

  • Domain Knowledge: Passion for health technology and innovation. Familiarity with digital health, medical regulation processes, or startup acceleration is a plus (and a willingness to learn is essential).

  • Language: Fluency in English (our working language). Danish or other European languages are a bonus, given our local ecosystem and international partners.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, health sciences, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent practical experience in relevant roles).
