We’re seeking a visual storyteller to help shape the emotional heart of Kora, a new app that focuses on everyday safety, self-awareness, and community connection.
As part of our onboarding journey, each user meets their spirit animal, a companion that reflects their inner strengths and instincts. These animals are not mascots, but emotionally expressive characters that shift between states, such as calm, alert, proud, or vulnerable.
Create 2–3 visual mood boards that explore different illustration styles for our spirit animals. Each direction should include:
1–2 rough sketches or mockups of an animal
Colour palette and texture/line/shape feel
Notes on emotional tone and visual rationale
This will serve as the foundation for a whole series of 11 animal characters, each deeply tied to user emotions and identity.
A character-driven illustrator with a strong emotional range in your work
Able to express subtle moods and personality through posture, shape, and design
You love creating warm, stylised visuals that feel alive, think Pixar-level awareness, but in a clean mobile app aesthetic
You’re comfortable iterating fast and working with a tight visual brief
You’re excited to help build something meaningful from scratch
€100 for this first style exploration (mood board phase)
A potential long-term collaboration if there’s a match
Creative freedom within a strong concept
A purpose-led project with impact and visibility
Please send us a link to your portfolio or some character-based work that shows your style. The deadline for first submissions is in 3–4 days.
