Based out of our amazing studio in Berlin, you’ll be part of a global team supporting top-tier esports productions around the world.As a key member of the Esports Events Tech Ops Team, your day-to-day will be rooted in our Berlin studio, where you’ll collaborate closely with engineering and production teams. While most of your time will be spent at our cutting-edge facility, you’ll also have the opportunity to travel occasionally to support major live events on-site.
Your core responsibilities will include the setup and deployment of IT networks, PC and mobile device configuration (both at the venue and at hotels), and roll-outs of Wi-Fi and IPTV systems. During events, you’ll be the go-to on-site IT support making sure our broadcast teams can deliver seamless, high-quality experiences to a global audience.
This role requires you to have and maintain a valid passport
Live event experience preferred, but not necessary
2+ years IT Support experience
Experience working with tools such as FOG, Discord, JIRA, and Notion
IPTV knowledge
Basic IT troubleshooting skills
Basic understanding of layer-2 networking and how to troubleshoot common layer 1-2 problems
You are a collaborator, able to work cohesively as part of the wider Tech Ops teams both at home and on site.
You are a proactive problem-solver capable of resolving critical issues affecting all stakeholders at our clients' events, including players and services related to people, processes, or technology.
Structured cabling experience working with copper and fiber desired, but not essential
You are flexible, adaptable, and committed in your pursuit of developing new techniques that give us the ability to automate and scale, while growing in your particular area of expertise
An authority in managing, and maintaining the Layer 2 IT Network Infrastructure
Deploying, monitoring and updating Meraki networking gear
Will occasionally be relied upon to be a reliable point of contact onsite when the Event Tech Lead is unavailable
Oversee the hardware fleet from event to event.
Carry out the pre–event set up of PCs, switches, APs, IPTV units, and other devices.
Configure the network and PC fleet in line with the client tech standards.
During load-in, unpack and install fleet of PC’s and network devices and carry out full and robust testing of all equipment to ensure Players have the best experience possible.
Provide top-level support to Players and broadcasting stakeholders during live events, ensuring excellent player experiences and optimal performance.
While at an event you will be part of the QRT team to be on standby, ensuring immediate response
As the event winds down you will be required to de-rig all deployed kit, noting damage or losses.
You will ensure all kit is packed correctly/securely and ready to be shipped to the next international destination
General equipment maintenance while back at base on the fleet as required.
