Organised into specialised tribes, they collaborate in cross-functional teams—including an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, a Product Designer, and Software/Data Engineers—to foster innovation and excellence.

Our structure maximizes impact and ownership: Product teams develop core features for key business domains (invoicing, banking, accounting).Platform teams manage infrastructure and core services (Cloud, DevOps, Core APIs, developer tools).Data team builds data pipelines for engineering, modeling, and analytics.

Your Role as Engineering Manager – Banking & Compliance

As Engineering Manager for our Compliance & Risk team, you’ll lead a talented group of engineers whose mission is to ensure we fulfil our regulatory obligations, mitigate fraud risks, and enable operational efficiency across our banking services.In this role, you will:Lead and inspire the team, fostering alignment, trust, and engagement.Establish the team’s vision and strategy with the Product Manager.Manage team rituals, align with stakeholders, and prioritize initiatives.Remove blockers, improve delivery efficiency, and guide the transition from legacy systems to our common stack.Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to uphold high technical and operational standards.

About You

Must-have skills & experience:

Proven experience in a team leadership role, ideally in risk management or data-driven product teams.

Servant leadership mindset – you empower rather than command.

Strong technical background in engineering, with project management and organizational skills.

Strong Knowledge of Python, data tooling, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

User-centric mindset, high standards, and excellent communication skills in English.

Bonus points for: Experience in regulatory compliance or fraud prevention.

Storytelling skills to inspire teams around mission, vision, and strategy.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 3 months: Build trust with your team, peers, and key stakeholders.Help the team deliver on quarterly commitments.

By 6 months: Define ambitious yet realistic goals and roadmaps.Establish a clear vision and strategy for the team.Contribute to OKRs and performance reviews.Lead initial experiments (e.g., proof-of-concept ML applications) in your domain.

By 1 year: Support team growth, retention, and promotions.Enable the release of our banking offer in new markets.Confidently operate at scale across three markets.
