We’re looking for a Board Member with a special superpower: making sure our finances are on point so that our ideas don’t just stay ideas - they actually happen. Think of yourself as the one who helps us dream big without tripping over the budget.
Keeping track of DANSIC’s finances and helping us budget for events and projects
Assisting in fundraising efforts and securing sponsorships
Ensuring DANSIC complies with governance standards, following internal by-laws and legal obligations
Collaborating with other board members to establish organisational goals
Helping our volunteers with their team objectives
Participating in board meetings
Experience with finances, budgeting and bookkeeping (doesn’t have to be scary formal, just enough to keep us safe and smart)
Understanding of how non-profits need to handle their obligations (or curiosity to learn)
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
A genuine interest in social innovation and sustainability
Ability to commit approximately 2-3 hours per week to DANSIC activities (fluctuating workload depending on the season)
Real hands-on experience in running an established organisation
Expand your professional network through collaborations with social innovators, entrepreneurs, and academic institutions
Develop your leadership and strategic planning skills in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
