About Spuddle

Spuddle is building a B2C Duolingo-style EdTech app for Excel to help young professionals boost their digital confidence and career readiness. We’re turning boring spreadsheet tutorials into fun, bite-sized learning with gamification, microlearning, and community at the core. Our story began on Instagram and TikTok, where we grew to over 200.000 followers in just six months by sharing simple Excel tips. Now, we’re turning that traction into a global EdTech startup.

The Role

We’re looking for a Creative Content Lead (Social Media) who loves storytelling and understands how to connect with an audience through authentic, relatable content. You’ll lead the creative direction of our TikTok and Instagram presence, shaping how people feel about Spuddle: from “Excel is boring” to “this is actually fun.” You’ll work closely with our Social Media Manager (who handles analytics, scheduling, and growth strategy) to form Spuddle’s dream duo of creative energy + strategic insights.

What You’ll Do

  • Ideate, film, and edit engaging short-form content (Reels, TikToks)

  • Revive dormant social media accounts.

  • Develop creative series and content formats that resonate with a consumer audience

  • Write captions and test hooks that speak directly to our users

  • Collaborate with founders and the SoMe Manager to translate strategy into storytelling

  • Stay on top of TikTok and Instagram trends and find ways to make them your own

Who You Are

  • You love creating content and you understand how to make people feel something

  • You have a natural sense of tone and storytelling that fits a B2C brand voice

  • You’re proactive, creative, and like trying new ideas

  • You know your way around TikTok, Reels, and other social video formats

  • Bonus: experience with CapCut, Canva, or other editing tools

What You’ll Get

  • Freedom to experiment and shape Spuddle’s creative identity

  • Portfolio-worthy content that reaches a real audience

  • A front-row seat in a fast-growing EdTech startup

  • Flexible hours

  • A fun, collaborative, and non-corporate environment

Spuddle

Spuddle is developing a Duolingo-style app for Excel to help young professionals boost their digital confidence and career readiness by turning complex skills into fun, bite-sized learning. Our secret sauce? Gamification, microlearning, and a community-driven approach that makes Excel something you actually want to practice. Across the world, more than a billion people use Excel and yet most have never been taught how to use it properly. For young professionals and recent graduates, this creates a huge barrier: they’re expected to “just know” Excel, but in reality many feel insecure, waste time on manual tasks, or miss out on opportunities because of weak digital skills. This gap affects productivity, confidence, and employability and it’s widespread across industries, especially in early career roles where Excel is a daily tool. We’re building a mobile app that makes learning Excel engaging and accessible, like Duolingo, but for spreadsheets. Instead of long, boring tutorials, users complete short, gamified exercises that fit into their everyday routines. The app adapts to their level, rewards progress, and helps them practice consistently until Excel becomes second nature. Beyond Excel, our vision is to expand into other workplace tools, becoming the go-to microlearning platform for digital skills. Spuddle started as a side project on social media. We shared quick Excel tips on Instagram and TikTok, and within six months had over 200,000 followers. The overwhelming response showed us just how many young professionals struggle with these skills and how much they crave accessible, fun learning. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a mission: to make digital skills education less intimidating and more empowering. We’re building Spuddle because we’ve lived the problem ourselves, and we believe mastering the basics should feel motivating, not overwhelming.
