We are looking for an Insurance Lead who can take full ownership of the insurance domain at Frankly. This is a senior and strategic position where you will define, build, and steer our entire insurance product ecosystem - from early ideation to implementation, scaling, and continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for creating products and frameworks that are compliant, scalable, commercially strong, and above all, genuinely great.
Own the insurance product roadmap end-to-end, from ideation to design to launch
Develop new insurance products that meet partner needs, customer expectations, and our product vision.
Lead and expand relationships with insurance carriers, negotiating commercial terms, managing performance, and ensuring alignment across underwriting, operations, compliance, and product.
Design clever underwriting journeys and operational models with a strong focus on efficiency, automation, and customer experience.
Ensure strong governance and compliance.
Use data-driven insights to validate product decisions, monitor performance, evaluate risk, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and commercial teams, ensuring that insurance requirements translate smoothly into technical and operational implementation.
You have experience in the insurance industry - ideally within an insurtech startup or embedded insurance. You could also have experience in business development, affinity products, or carrier/MGA partnerships. You are tech-savvy and at the forefront of new technologies.
You are proactive, structured, and an independent thinker who thrives in an environment with high autonomy and ownership. You enjoy building from the ground up, navigating complexity, and solving challenges without a predefined playbook. You bring clarity and confidence when leading initiatives involving multiple stakeholders with varying priorities.
You have a track record of achievement and drive. You are exceptional at identifying the right problem and getting it solved.
5+ years in insurance, with experience in product development, underwriting, or distribution.
Experience working with carriers, MGAs, or brokers.
Strong understanding of affinity insurance products, regulatory requirements, and operational flows.
Ability to manage complex stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a great sense of humor.
Fluent in Danish and English.
