About the role

We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer Intern with experience in Flutter or React Native to help build the first version of the PayTjek app. You’ll work closely with our UI/UX team and backend/AI engineers to turn designs and flows into a smooth, intuitive product.

You’ll be working on:

Implementing core screens and flows in Flutter or React Native
Turning Figma designs into clean, reusable components
Integrating with our backend APIs for verification and data
Improving performance, responsiveness, and overall user experience

What we’re looking for

Experience or strong interest in mobile development
Skills in Flutter or React Native
Basic understanding of API integration and async flows
Care for good user experience and clean code
Curiosity about AI-driven products and real-world impact

PayTjek is developing an AI-powered payroll verification platform that helps employees detect and resolve salary discrepancies through automated collective agreement analysis and intelligent error detection. Payroll errors are a widespread and costly problem, with billions lost each year because employees never uncover them. Payslips are often complex and difficult to understand without specialist knowledge of collective agreements and labor laws — expertise usually reserved for lawyers, union representatives, and HR professionals. This leaves everyday workers, from healthcare staff to teachers, at risk of losing money they are rightfully owed. PayTjek democratizes payroll expertise. Employees simply upload their payslip, and our AI analyzes salary data, cross-references it with relevant collective agreements, checks against work schedules and contracts, and flags discrepancies or missing payments. The results are delivered in clear, plain language, giving workers both understanding and actionable next steps. Our technology is built to interpret even the most complex Danish labor agreements, with a roadmap to expand across European markets. We are driven by a strong sense of fairness.
