Marketing lead role

We’re looking for a Marketing Lead who can own our entire marketing function—from strategy to execution—and drive measurable growth as we move from early pilots to scale. You’ll shape how the world understands Hunome, build demand with target ICPs (heads of transformation, strategy, innovation, HR; ecosystem leads; public-sector change actors), and create a repeatable playbook that turns understanding into pipeline.

This is not a “run ads and write blogs” role. You’ll build marketing infrastructure, test channels, execute campaigns, optimize for discovery (human and algorithmic), and report progress against KPIs that matter at our stage. You work independently, move fast, and know what good looks like at each stage of startup growth.

What you’ll do

Strategy & positioning

• Evolve Hunome’s positioning, messaging, and go-to-market narrative for multiple buyer personas (in enterprise, ecosystem, societal orgs).

• Understand and articulate our technical differentiation (graph-native AI, evidence-bounded generation, human-in-the-loop) in language that resonates with non-technical and technical buyers.

• Set stage-appropriate marketing priorities and KPIs (reach → awareness → engagement → pipeline → customer advocacy) and adapt as we grow.

Product marketing

• Translate complex product features (SparkMaps, indices, graph evolution, agentic AI) into compelling use cases, demos, and sales assets.

• Build customer stories, case studies, and proof points that show measurable ROI (faster alignment, better decisions, reduced change fatigue).

• Support sales and partnerships with pitch decks, one-pagers, competitive positioning, and objection handling.

Inbound & content

• Create high-quality content (blogs, guides, videos, other) that educates our ICP and builds organic authority around collective sensemaking, human-aware AI, transformation, and innovation.

• Optimize all content for discoverability: SEO (search engine optimization), GEO (generative engine optimization / AI answer engines), and AEO (answer engine optimization).

• Build and manage our content calendar, balancing thought leadership, product education, and demand generation.

Outbound & campaigns

• Design and execute targeted outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, events, partnerships) to reach decision-makers in transformation, strategy, innovation, and ecosystem roles.

• Test and scale channels; track what works, kill what doesn’t, and iterate fast.

• Coordinate with founder/sales on ABM (account-based marketing) motions for key target accounts.

Digital presence & algorithms

• Own our website (about.hunome.com), SEO strategy, and conversion funnel; continuously improve messaging, CTAs, and user journeys.

• Understand and leverage social media algorithms (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, other as deemed necessary) to maximize organic reach and engagement.

• Build and nurture our online community: engage authentically, seed discussions, and turn followers into advocates and collective sensemaking leads.

Analytics & growth operations

• Set up and maintain a marketing stack (CRM, analytics, email, automation) and reporting dashboards.

• Define, track, and report on KPIs: traffic, engagement, MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, CAC, conversion rates with sales.

• Run structured experiments, measure results, and make data-informed decisions on where to invest time and budget.


What we’re looking for


Must-have

• Startup experience: 3+ years in marketing roles at early-stage startups or scale-ups (seed to Series A/B); you understand what matters at different stages and can prioritize with strategic and stage relevant focus.

• Product marketing depth: Proven ability to translate technical, complex products into clear, compelling narratives and sales assets.

• Full-stack marketing: Hands-on experience across inbound, outbound, content, SEO/GEO/AEO, social, email, events, and community.

• Technical fluency: Comfortable learning technical concepts (AI, graph-native product, indices, APIs) and explaining them to diverse audiences.

• SEO/GEO/AEO expertise: Deep understanding of how to optimize for traditional search engines, AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini), and evolving discovery algorithms.

• Social & community savvy: You know how LinkedIn, X, and YouTube algorithms work and how to build engaged communities that drive word-of-mouth.

• Execution mindset: You move from strategy to execution without hand-holding; you own outcomes, not just tasks.

• Data-driven: You set clear KPIs, track progress, run experiments, and use data to decide what to do next.


Nice-to-have

• Experience marketing B2B SaaS to enterprise buyers (C-suite, transformation leads, innovation/strategy functions).

• Background in marketing complex “systems” or “platform” products where the value compounds over time.

• Familiarity with collective intelligence, sensemaking, organizational change, or innovation ecosystems.

• Visual design skills or ability to brief and work closely with designers on brand, assets, and campaigns.

• Network in startup, innovation, or enterprise transformation communities.


What success looks like

• First 90 days: Hunome’s positioning and messaging are clear and resonant; website and core assets updated; first campaigns live and measuring.

• 6 months: Repeatable inbound and outbound motions generating qualified leads; organic traffic and engagement growing; strong sales enablement assets in place.

• 12 months: Marketing is a measurable growth engine; pipeline contribution tracked and increasing; brand recognized in target communities; scalable playbook documented.

Working Conditions

  • 20hrs per week on average, arranged flexibly to fit your other work

  • Remote team - Company is based in Helsinki, Finland. Diverse team in many countries

At the moment, we cannot be a sponsor of a work permit. If you wish to work in Finland, applicants should hold a work permit valid until mid 2026.


About the deal

An immediately salaried 'job' is not what you are after but showcasing your experience in marketing within a startup with a unique product for the potential for massive return with the team's success (shares are your first reward, once we are funded or have sufficient revenue we all get paid).

We make it possible for you to take the startup step in a part-time role as a working shareholder. The team benefits from gaining direct equity, ownership in the company. The basis for gaining that is a minimum of 20hrs per week commitment for sufficient focus to become successful in the role. We will expand on this in our first interview

Once Hunome is ready to pay the salary, you would become 100% focused on the business. This means that you can build your startup career while earning a living in a day job or other part-time work. (NB: a contract with a big IT firm may exclude you from this offer)
