Project & Operations Coordination Intern

Salary Unpaid

Basic info

Location: Copenhagen

Start: ASAP

Duration: Minimum 8 weeks (until end of March), with possibility to extend

Time: Approx. 8–15 hours per week (flexible)

Compensation: Unpaid (early-stage build phase). We offer close collaboration with the founder, meaningful responsibility, strong references, and priority consideration for a paid role as the project grows.

Role focus

This role supports the overall coordination and day-to-day functioning of TUYO during an intensive early-stage build phase. You will work closely with the founder to help create clarity, continuity, and follow-through across multiple workstreams (specialty coffee, cacao exploration, partnerships, and admin).

The role is designed to be supportive but bounded: you are not “doing everything,” but helping ensure that important things move forward in a calm, organized, and values-aligned way.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the founder with project coordination and prioritization, helping track tasks, deadlines, and dependencies

  • Follow up on open items (emails, messages, pending responses) and help close loops

  • Help organize notes, documents, and shared folders so information is easy to find and use

  • Support basic administrative and operational tasks (scheduling, simple research, preparing summaries)

  • Assist with short weekly overviews: what’s done, what’s open, what’s next

  • Support ad hoc needs that arise in an early-stage startup, always within agreed priorities and scope

How this role supports regenerative values

  • You help create realistic pacing by bringing structure and visibility to work, reducing overload and stress

  • You support transparency and care by ensuring commitments are tracked and followed through

  • You work in a way that respects people’s time, capacity, and boundaries, including your own

This role is about enabling sustainable ways of working, not urgency for urgency’s sake.

What success looks like

  • The founder has a clearer overview and fewer loose ends

  • Tasks and follow-ups don’t fall through the cracks

  • Workstreams feel calmer, more intentional, and better coordinated

  • Decisions are supported by organized information rather than last-minute pressure

Who you are

  • Highly organized and reliable, with a natural inclination for structure and follow-through

  • Comfortable supporting others and working collaboratively

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Interested in startups, project coordination, operations, or impact-driven businesses

  • Able to work independently and ask clarifying questions when needed

  • Aligned with values around care, transparency, and long-term thinking

  • Experience with project coordination, admin, or operations

  • Familiarity with tools like Google Drive, Sheets, Asana and similar

Working at
TUYO / Coffee. Cacao. Culture.

TUYO is a Denmark-based specialty coffee and fine cacao project rooted in long-term relationships with coffee- and cacao-growing communities in Ecuador, and inspired by Nordic values around creativity, innovation, and sustainability. We are building a regenerative business that prioritizes transparency, fair collaboration, and high-quality products, while questioning extractive models within global value chains. Our approach is relational and place-based, centered on people, landscapes, and craft rather than scale. TUYO is currently in an early build phase, finalizing its first pilot specialty coffee line and preparing for an initial public launch moment in late February. Coffee is the immediate focus; fine cacao is part of the broader product vision and will be developed in parallel at a later stage. We work as a small, hands-on team with close collaborators across sourcing, quality, and production, and we value clarity, reliability, and care in how we build both products and partnerships.
