Are you ready to be part of something groundbreaking? At IQM, we're at the forefront of the next technological frontier, and we're looking for a DevOps infrastructure engineer.

In order to use quantum computer hardware, we need a server to manage communications between users and the quantum computer. IQM has a state-of-the-art QPU (quantum processing unit), and we need DevOps engineers to ensure our software meets our customers' requirements. As a DevOps engineer, you will plan and solve tasks related to building, improving, and monitoring our CI/CD tools as a valued member of the DevOps team. You will succeed in this role if you have experience with modern CI/CD tools and practices, and a willingness to share and learn.

We are looking for someone who possesses most of the following skills:

  • Solid experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (we use GitLab CI).

  • Good understanding of Linux operating systems

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages, such as Python and Bash

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or Ansible, is a plus.

  • Proficient knowledge of container building and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is required.

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Knowledge of and interest in software security and controls.

Note: We do not expect experience in the field or familiarity with quantum computer infrastructure.

We expect a minimum of five years of experience working as a DevOps engineer.
