Monil is building world-leading technology for virtual fencing and livestock monitoring. Our devices collect large amounts of real-time data from animals in the field. We process, analyze, and transform this data into actionable insights that improve animal welfare, farming efficiency, and sustainability. Behind this is a modern, cloud-based backend platform built for performance, resilience, and scale.

We’re now looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to build high-performance systems that truly matter.

What we're looking for

• 1-3+ years of experience with Go

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases

• Experience with Kubernetes (a plus, but not required)

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Informatics or Engineering

Bonus points for:

• Experience developing IoT products

• Experience with AWS

• Fluency in Norwegian (preferred, but we make exceptions for the exceptional)

• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment

• Real-life experience with farming or agriculture (not required, but appreciated)

• gRPC for internal communication and GraphQL APIs for frontends

• AWS (EKS and other AWS services) for infrastructure
