About athme

athme is building a product designed to change how people connect through sport.

We are creating a mobile platform that helps people discover activities, join games, and build real-world communities through movement. Our ambition is to build a category-defining app with meaningful impact on health, social connection, and everyday life.

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer who wants to help shape that product at an early stage and contribute at a high level.

The role

This role begins on a part-time basis and is suited to someone who thrives in ambitious, fast-moving environments with high standards. You will work closely with founders, product, and engineering to design intuitive user experiences and high-quality mobile interfaces.

As athme is currently in an active investment raising phase, this role offers strong long-term potential and the possibility to grow into a full-time position as the company scales.

What you will do

• Design clear, intuitive user flows for our mobile platform.

• Translate product goals, user needs, and insights into wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI.

• Contribute to and help maintain a scalable design system.

• Collaborate closely with founders, product, and engineering on feature development and product decisions.

• Prototype, test, and refine solutions based on user feedback and usage data.

• Bring structure, clarity, and strong design judgment to a fast-moving product environment.

What we are looking for

• 1 to 3 years of experience in digital product design, whether in-house, freelance, agency, startup, or through internships.

• A strong portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful UX decisions and high-quality mobile UI execution.

• Proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows.

• Strong visual judgment, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of user-centered design.

• The ability to work independently, move quickly, and maintain quality in an iterative environment.

• A high level of ownership, initiative, and accountability.

• Experience in startups, consumer apps, marketplaces, community products, or sports-related products is a plus.
