About the role
We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our Employee Spend & Mobile department at Pleo. In this role, you'll help evolve our Mobile Platform and improve our Mobile App’s product offering, and be part of the Mobile Experience team as we scale Pleo. Who you’ll be working with and reporting to
You’ll report to the team’s manager and work closely with teams in our department. Our team of 6 is highly collaborative and dedicated to our Mobile Application and its Platform. You’ll also have the chance to partner with teams across Pleo to ensure success.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Engineer, you will:
- Lead initiatives to design, build, and maintain innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement to our Mobile Application and Platform.
- Participate in code reviews, post-mortems, and provide mentorship to other engineers.
- Build high quality and maintainable mobile app features
- Contribute to the execution, delivery, and quality of projects within and outside the team.
What you bring
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience developing and maintaining React Native mobile apps, with bonus points for native iOS and/or Android development
- Strong TypeScript skills
- Familiarity with the Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) design pattern
- Proficiency with CI/CD processes and tools such as Github Action
- Knowledge of tools like Expo
- Experience building quality apps with E2E testing frameworks like Maestro
- An understanding of current industry trends and best practices
