FlavorScale is seeking a Culinary Ecosystem & Relations Intern to be our "Industry Insider" in the Amsterdam food scene. We aren't just looking for 1,000 partners; we are looking for the right 1,000 partners—the icons, the hidden gems, and the trendsetters that define the city’s soul.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will work directly with the CEO to bridge the gap between the traditional Horeca world and our data-driven discovery platform. You are the advocate for the restaurant owner, ensuring tech actually serves the kitchen.
Who You Are
The Foodie Insider: You speak "Horeca." You know the best espresso in West and the most authentic spots in Noord. You understand the intense pressure of a Friday night service and respect the craft of hospitality.
The Social Butterfly: You don't just "network"—you build genuine trust. You’re the person who knows the staff at the local pop-up and the faces behind the city’s most exciting counters.
Vibe-Curator: You have an intuitive sense of "Experience." You know how to translate a physical dining atmosphere into a digital "Match" that resonates with our specific user base.
High Agency: You see a new concept opening its doors and you’re the first one inside to welcome them to the FlavorScale ecosystem.
Background: Ideally studying Hospitality Management (Hoge Hotelschool), Gastronomy, or F&B Management.
Your Daily Mission
Curation & Quality Control: Identify the "Must-Haves" for the FlavorScale ecosystem, ensuring our partner list reflects the highest quality and most authentic of Amsterdam’s food culture.
Direct Field Relations: Spend your days in the city with the CEO, meeting with owners and managers to show them how FlavorScale helps them reclaim the "Value Left on the Table" by understanding guest intent.
Merchant Advocacy: Act as the primary liaison for our partners, helping them refine their "Flavor Profile" and ensuring the platform accurately reflects their culinary vision.
Industry Networking: Attend local food events, pop-ups, and industry nights to build organic trust and long-term relationships within the Amsterdam Horeca community.
Strategic Insight: Participate in weekly syncs to report on merchant pain points, helping us ensure our B2B tool solves real-world operational headaches.
The Opportunity
This is an unpaid internship that offers a "Masterclass" in startup scaling and the evolution of the food industry. While we cannot promise specific timelines or positions—as our key hires depend on 2026/2027 investment cycles and board decisions—this role is designed to be a talent pipeline. Successful interns who prove their value on the streets of Amsterdam will be top-of-mind for strategic roles as the company levels up.
Specific Skillset Requirements
Local Residency: You must live in or very close to Amsterdam.
Language: Fluent in English. Dutch or another European language is a major Plus for connecting with local owners.
Communication: Exceptional verbal skills. You need to be as comfortable talking to a Michelin-star chef as you are to a street-food vendor.
Empathy: You understand that for many owners, their restaurant is their life. You pitch with respect for their craft.
