FlavorScale is seeking a People & Culture Intern to lay the foundational blueprints for our future organization. We aren't looking for a "traditional HR" person, we are looking for an Organizational Architect. You will be the right hand to the CEO, researching and implementing the structures that will allow our team to thrive as we scale.
Most HR internships are about administration, this one is about Engineering Human Potential. You will be tasked with looking into the world’s most successful tech startups to decide how FlavorScale should lead, manage, and grow. You are laying the ground for our future COO.
Background: Currently studying HR Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Strategy, or a related field.
The Structure Obsessive: You love a good system. You spend your free time reading about how Google uses OKRs, how Netflix handles "radical candor," or how GitLab masters remote-first culture.
The Energy Giver: You have a natural "People First" instinct. You understand that a startup is only as fast as its team is happy, aligned, and motivated.
Data-Driven Culturalist: You don't just "feel" that a team is happy; you want to measure it. You are obsessed with metrics that actually matter (retention, engagement, objective completion).
Vibe: You are proactive, empathetic, and highly organized. You’re the person who sees a messy process and can't rest until it’s a streamlined workflow.
The OS Design: Research and propose our "FlavorScale Culture Manual"—defining our core values, feedback loops, and management style.
OKR Orchestration: Dive deep into the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework. You will help the CEO implement this metric-driven culture across all intern departments.
The Hybrid Blueprint: Design the strategy for our "Remote-Second, Hybrid-Primary" setup. How do we keep the Amsterdam energy alive while giving the team the freedom of remote work?
Benefit Benchmarking: Look into the future. What kind of perks and benefits actually drive loyalty in tech? (From equity education to mental health support).
Talent Experience: Own the "Candidate Journey." Ensure that every person who interviews with FlavorScale—whether they get the job or not—leaves obsessed with our brand.
This is a work-based internship that offers a Masterclass in Organizational Design. You are effectively acting as a "Junior COO." While we cannot promise permanent positions today—as our key hires depend on 2026/2027 investment cycles—this role is the Executive Talent Pipeline. Successful interns who build a culture people love will be the first in line for People Operations and Leadership roles.
Location: Based within the Netherlands (Hybrid flexibility required for Amsterdam-based team syncs).
Language: Fluent in English (Essential). Dutch is a plus for understanding local labor trends and benefits.
Status: This must be a formal internship as part of your degree.
The "Hustle" Gene: You believe that HR should be as fast-paced and innovative as the Engineering team.
