About Memtrace

Memtrace builds the memory layer for AI coding agents. Using AST parsing, we construct a deterministic knowledge graph that gives coding agents real, structural understanding of a codebase instead of guesswork — so agents stop forgetting context and stop re-explaining the same thing every session. Our stack includes MemDB, MemFleet, Cortex (our code review engine), and Alethia, our decision-memory model.


The role

We want to grow Memtrace's user base organically, developer by developer, the way tools like this actually spread: through people who use it, understand it, and tell other people why it's worth trying. We're looking for someone who wants to own that motion — finding developers, getting them successfully onboarded, and figuring out, hands-on, what actually gets a dev tool to spread inside developer communities.

This isn't a "post on social media" internship. You'll be talking to real developers, watching where they get stuck, and iterating on how we bring people in — repeatedly, not once.


What you'll do

  • Find and engage developers where they already are — GitHub, Reddit, Discord, Hacker News, dev-focused Slack/Discord communities, relevant subreddits and forums

  • Own first-touch to first-value: get new users from "found us" to "got it working and saw the point"

  • Watch real onboarding sessions (or run them yourself) to find where people drop off, and propose fixes to docs, quickstart, or messaging

  • Represent Memtrace in developer conversations — answering questions, handling skepticism, and genuinely listening rather than pitching

  • Help build and test outreach approaches (warm intros, cold outreach, community posts) and track what actually converts into activated users

  • Report back what you learn — this role is as much research as it is execution, and your findings shape our GTM decisions

  • Occasionally help with founder-led content and community events (meetups, hackathons, university talks)


Who you are

  • Genuinely curious about developer tools and how developer communities work — you lurk in GitHub issues and Reddit threads for fun, not just for work

  • Comfortable talking to strangers, including skeptical ones, without sounding like you're reading from a script

  • Some technical fluency — you don't need to ship production code, but you should be able to read a README, run a quickstart, and understand roughly what an AI coding agent or AST parsing means (or be excited to learn fast)

  • A self-starter who's fine with ambiguity — we'll give you a goal and context, not a script

  • Based in or able to work Copenhagen hours; a computer science, software engineering, or related background (student or recent grad) is a plus but not required
