UNYA Copenhagen is a volunteer-driven youth organization dedicated to empowering young people to engage with global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ values and the Sustainable Development Goals. We organize interactive events, workshops, and panel discussions that make complex global topics accessible and relevant. Our activities are co-created by volunteers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds who bring their own insights to the table. Through collaboration with universities, NGOs, and public institutions, we connect youth directly with experts and decision-makers, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and agency. GLYON is developing a CO₂-powered textile-to-textile recycling technology to help brands, fiber producers, and recyclers solve the growing textile waste crisis with a breakthrough chemical recycling process that turns waste into virgin-quality raw materials for new fibers—without fossil fuels. We address the massive problem of textile waste, a global crisis where over 92 million tonnes of textile waste are discarded each year—most of it ending up in landfills or incinerated. This contributes to major pollution issues but also forces the textile industry to continue its dependence on virgin fossil-based materials. Our solution targets fiber producers, brands, and recyclers who need circular raw material solutions. Our CO₂-based chemical recycling process breaks down polyester textiles into building blocks and leaves other fibers like cotton intact. Both PET building blocks and cotton can be used to produce new, high-quality fibers without the need for virgin oil and reducing water consumption and CO₂ emissions.

With data and science, we are empowering women to understand their body and hormonal cycle. More than ever before, women are interested in tracking and understanding their menstrual cycle. Today, the majority of women are disconnected from their menstrual cycle due to modern’s life stress, birth prevention and lack of information. As an example, ~80% of women don’t know when their monthly ovulation occurs, the main event in their menstrual cycle and a key health indicator. This lack of awareness is a contributing factor to the growing problem of hormonal diseases (~60% of women suffers from hormonal imbalances) and infertility worldwide (~15-20% of women).

Kumar Nordic is developing solution for small to medium sized retail store who cannot afford high tech solutions. Currently we are focussing on developing age identity solution for minors to make controls on alcohol and tobacco purchase. Recently Danish law has implemented a strict controls for retail chains to enforce a digital age check or by physical document checks to be done for young customers , whose age cannot be determined. As per the latest survey done by DR almost 80% young people were able to avail alcohol who were under 18. We are developing a solution that combines both facial analysis and identity using mitID.
