FlavorScale is seeking a Full-Stack Developer Intern to help us build the most seamless discovery platform in the industry. While others are talking about the "future of food," you are the one actually coding it. This is a high-ownership role where you won’t just be fixing bugs—you’ll be building features from scratch, from the UI that users love to the robust backend that powers it all.
Most developer internships give you a "sandbox"—we’re giving you the keys to the production environment. You will work directly with the CTO and CEO to translate product visions into scalable, high-performance code as we prepare for our 2026 Q3 funding round.
Background: Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Bachelor or Master level).
The Full-Stack Mindset: You are comfortable jumping between a CSS tweak and an API integration. You care about the "why" behind the code just as much as the "how."
Clean Code Obsessive: You believe that code is meant to be read by humans, not just machines. You’re a fan of documentation, git flow, and building things that don't break.
Problem Solver: When you hit a wall, you don't just wait for an answer. You dive into the docs, hit Stack Overflow, or experiment until you find a workaround.
Vibe: You are a "Builder." You get a kick out of seeing a feature go from a Figma sketch to a live tool that thousands of users can interact with.
Feature Development: Take ownership of new features on both the frontend and backend, ensuring a seamless experience for both users and restaurant partners.
API Architecture: Help build and maintain the bridges between our mobile platform and our business-side dashboard.
Database Optimization: Work with our data structures to ensure that as FlavorScale scales, our performance stays lightning-fast.
UI/UX Implementation: Translate our design team's high-fidelity prototypes into responsive, pixel-perfect reality.
The Startup Sprint: Participate in weekly technical syncs to prioritize the roadmap and solve the high-stakes engineering challenges of a growing startup.
This is a work-based internship that offers an engineering masterclass. While we cannot promise permanent positions—as our key hires depend on 2026/2027 board decisions—this is our primary Engineering Pipeline. Successful interns who ship impactful code and demonstrate an "architect" mindset will be the first candidates for Full-Stack Lead roles as we expand across Europe.
Location: Remote-First (Netherlands-based preferred for occasional in-person deep dives).
Tech Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React or Vue. Backend experience with Node.js and familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Status: This must be a formal internship as part of your degree.
Language: Fluent in English.
The "Hustle" Gene: You thrive in an environment where things move fast and the codebase is constantly evolving.
