WeWantToKnow

WeWantToKnow is a French-Norwegian company that focuses on Game-Based Learning. Its first product is the math game "DragonBox" and it has more games in the planning stages. The company was founded by financial analyst turned math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huyhn, the leading French game developer Patrick Marchal, and former Opera Software executives Rolf Assev and Christen Krogh. WeWantToKnow aims to make learning fun, easy and addictive. DragonBox does away with tedious equations and math quizzes, replacing them instead with a simple game involving cards and a magical box. The game evolves as kids master the skills and concepts presented. After one hour of playing DragonBox, twelve-year olds can tackle equations their parents struggle to solve. DragonBox was pre-launched in Norway to let schools, kids and parents test the game. Almost immediately, it rocketed to the top of the charts, becoming the most purchased app in the Apple App Store in Norway-- displacing other, more traditional games - check it out at - www.dragonbox.com

Dashl

Dashl is digital beauty booking concierge providing beauty services for everyone, anywhere. You come to us in one of our Beauty Bars (currently at H&M and IvyRevel), or we come to you at home, work or your hotel room. Dashl’s vision is to redefine the beauty industry, for consumers and professionals, through a trusted and scalable tech platform which provides high quality beauty services wherever, whenever.  Let’s be completely honest, we do like a bit of a challenge. That’s why we’ve set out to build a platform like no other. Usually people build either a marketplace, or a digital booking platform, a photo sharing app, or a payment solution. We decided to build a platform with all of those features. Why? Because it’s 2017 and it’s ridiculous that we don't have information about a hair or beauty professionals availability, pricing, portfolio and reviews in one single place. Oh, and then the ability to turn that content to commerce. With Dashl you can Book the Look. We want to ensure that our users have access to all of their hair and beauty needs at the tip of their fingers. After all, they don’t call us a personal digital beauty concierge for nothing *brushes off shoulders*.   The Dashl team is diverse from different backgrounds and cultures. We all have very different professional backgrounds, skillsets and experiences, which when brought together creates magic. We all get along really well and have fun working. We think it's important not only to be passionate of what you do but also looking forward to going into the office and working with your colleagues. Team Dashl is driven by innovation and problem solving. We never look for quick fixes, as we know that dedication and hard work will continue to strengthen the foundation that we have already built. We like to work with people that are creative, driven and dedicated. We have an inclusive mentality, where we encourage ideas and suggestions as everyone plays an important role. Although we all have very clear responsibilities and work independently we are team players when and where required as we’re working together towards a shared goal.   We like to set trends as opposed to follow them, and that’s the kind of people that we want to work with and have in our team! We are looking for the ultimate team players who are passionate, fun to work with and not afraid to reach for greatness!

SurplusMap

Introduction to SurplusMap SurplusMap is on a mission to revolutionize the way we develop and optimize EV charging infrastructure. By leveraging advanced geospatial tools and machine learning models, we empower energy companies, local utilities, and charge point operators to make informed decisions about site selection and utilization prediction. This ensures the efficient and effective deployment of charging stations, addressing a critical need in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market. Our secret advantage is our ability to draw on Norway's leadership in EV infrastructure, combined with our collaborations with top-tier partners like Google and Bentley Systems, to deliver cutting-edge solutions. The challenge we face is significant: the current pace of infrastructure development is insufficient to meet the future demands of the booming EV market. The market is highly fragmented, causing inconvenience for EV users and difficulties for energy companies and local utilities trying to optimize their investments. For instance, the EU mandates the installation of 6,000 new charging points per week by 2030, a target that is far from being met with the current rate of deployment. This gap presents a substantial opportunity for innovative solutions like SurplusMap to make a real difference. At SurplusMap, we focus on ensuring our customers invest wisely. Our sophisticated, map-based software integrates geospatial data and machine learning algorithms to pinpoint optimal sites for new charging stations. This means our clients can invest in the right locations, install the ideal number of chargers, and maintain high utilization rates over time. By doing so, we help them maximize their investments and build a robust EV infrastructure network that meets the demands of the future. We are driven by a vision of cleaner, more sustainable cities. Electric vehicles are crucial in reducing air pollution and creating healthier urban environments. However, the key to this transition lies in the efficient deployment of charging infrastructure that provides greater flexibility to the energy grid, allowing for more renewable energy sources to be integrated. At SurplusMap, we are passionate about facilitating this energy transition. By optimizing EV charging infrastructure, we help accelerate the shift to cleaner energy, positively impacting both the environment and the communities we live in. Join us in our mission to create a greener, more sustainable future through innovative technology and strategic planning. Together, we can drive the change needed to make our cities cleaner and our energy systems more resilient.
