&tradition

&tradition is a Danish design company established in 2010 with the founding principle being tradition tied to innovation. Their unique library of furniture and lighting spans from the 1930s to the present day and includes designs by internationally renowned designers. Although &tradition is influenced by their Nordic heritage, they handpick design talent and production facilities internationally and across the ages. This is part of their remit to reshape, redefine and reinvent materials, techniques and forms, helping them to find a unique position in the international design market.

alma er byens nye madmarked med fokus på økologi, kvalitet og ordentlige råvarer. Indtil videre findes vores butikker i København og på Frederiksberg, men vi har flere på vej. alma er opkaldt efter grundlægger Alfred Josefsens bedstemor fra Thy, der værnede om lokale råvarer af god kvalitet. Den tanke har vi videreført, så den afspejles i vores butikker og varesortiment, der er sammensat ud fra principper som autenticitet, økologi, det lokale og sæson. Vi kalder alma et madmarked, fordi vi er er sted, der primært handler med madvarer og drikkevarer. Derfor vil vi ikke have et stort udvalg af alle mulig andre varer, der ikke kan spises eller drikkes. Med alma giver vi danskerne nemmere adgang til økologi. Vi samler de bedste, sundeste, grønneste kvalitetsvarer på tværs af alle kategorier, så vores kunder får nemmere ved at træffe et bevidst valg, der er til glæde for både dem selv og planeten. Vi skaber en bedre indkøbsoplevelse og har fokus på den behagelige butiksindretning og det nærværende møde mellem vores medarbejdere og vores kunder. På denne måde håber vi at blive det foretrukne indkøbssted for ansvarsbevidste kunder, som nyder god mad, men samtidig går op i at passe på planeten.

Buttermelon — Business Intelligence you can talk to Buttermelon is building a chat-based business intelligence platform for restaurant and bar operators. It turns messy, scattered business data into clear answers you get simply by asking. No spreadsheets. No analyst skills required. --- The problem Running a restaurant is hard. Understanding how it’s performing shouldn’t be. Today, the numbers operators need live across too many systems: - Sales in the cash register / point-of-sale system - Labor in the staff scheduling tool - Stock in inventory and purchasing software Getting a simple answer often means logging into multiple systems, exporting data, and opening a spreadsheet. So what happens? - Decisions are made on gut feeling - No one really knows what’s selling — and what’s not - Staffing issues go unnoticed --- The solution We built a tool that works the way operators already think and talk. Instead of clicking through generic dashboards, you simply ask: - “How did we do last Friday?” - “Why was labor higher this week?” - “What’s not selling on the menu?” And you get instant, visual answers — charts, simple tables, and KPI cards — right in the chat. No complex setup. No long reports. Just ask. Behind the scenes, Buttermelon connects to the systems operators already use (sales / point-of-sale systems, scheduling tools, and inventory software), cleans the data, and turns plain language into real-time insights. --- Why we’re building this One of our founders, Thomas, has spent more than 15 years running restaurants. He worked long weeks and managed multiple venues — yet still couldn’t answer basic questions without jumping between systems, spreadsheets, and half-finished reports. The tools that existed were built for analysts and finance teams — not for operators checking numbers between services. That gap was obvious. Antec Biogas utvikler biogassanlegg som optimaliserer produksjonen av biogass og gjødselprodukter, basert på tilgjengelig avfall og biomasse i anleggets nærområde. Vårt hovedkontor ligger i Oslo. Som team er vi dedikerte og målrettede. Vi tilnærmer oss utvikling av anlegg med ydmykhet, med forståelse for at biologiske prosesser, konstruksjon og drift er komplekse. Etter et tiår med driftserfaring vet vi at vi kan gjøre en forskjell – at erfaringsoverføring fra andre industrier er verdifull, og at vi, til tross for vår størrelse, kan bidra med gode løsninger. Gjennom mange år har teamet fått god erfaring med bruk av forskjellige typer biomasser i biogassproduksjon. Sesam import AS

Sesam imports will initially import products from Asia, mainly from the Philippines in the beginning. The reason for starting the company is that Filipinos are struggling to find Filipino and Asian food in Asian stores in Norway, there is a big gap in the selection of stores that offer food from Asia. Many foreigners living in Norway craves food and taste from their homeland and one of them are Filipinos. As of 2021, access to Filipino products is still limited while the Filipino community is growing. Therefore, we are very grateful to start this business. We will offer food, beverage, fruits, and vegetables from the entire Asia to customers in Norway. We will sell them online on our online shop and Facebook store to private customers in Norway, we will also offer our products to businesses in Norway such as Asian stores and restaurants and online sellers. We will offer the most selling products but also offer the products that we know the Asian communities are missing and having trouble to obtain in Norway. Our goal is to have the best and biggest product assortment in store in Norway. We will have a cold storage with some fresh fruit and vegetables but most of this order have to be ordered in advance to provide loss of goods due to short shell life. Frozen food like fish and meat will we have on cold storage for fast delivering.

Når man køber gaver via Greeting.dk handler man hos de fysiske butikker, som også selv sørger for at gaverne leveres direkte hjem til modtagerne. Greeting.dk samarbejder med lokale vinhandlere, gavebutikker, livsstilsbutikker, blomsterhandlere, delikatesseforretninger og mange flere.

Skills to the Future

Skills to the Future, is developing a digital learning platform to help schools to provide supplementary STEM courses in topics where they lack the resources or competence. We think that our present education could be better. Now the content comes more from looking in the rear mirror, than through the windshield. It should take better account of the constant acceleration of our living environment. We want to help the schools to provide our youth education that trends to the future as much as possible. We cannot exactly tell what skills in 10 years are needed, but we can make good guesses and at least show them in the right direction. Our obligation is to give our youth a kick and a spark starting to learn new skills for the future. How we differentiate ourselves from the other course providers? Our pillars 4 are: #1 The quality of pedagogy first We align, curate, and orchestrate all our course material to achieve pedagogic competence and meet the quality requirements of the ‘Finnish Education Standards’. #2 The how: Blended project-based learning with a flipped approach Digital courses mostly rely only on the delivery of educational material. Our digital platform relies on blended open-ended project-based learning with a flipped approach. That means that also we deliver the educational material online but that’s only one-half of what we do. We also deliver teacher/educator lead workshops, Q&As. We want to ensure that the student really can utilize the information given and convert that to skills by practicing aka by doing homework. Just watching videos and answering some quizzes gives you the illusion you have now learned a skill! #3 High impact needs high completion rates By following and complying with the Finnish pedagogical guidelines we aim to raise the completion rate from Udemy like under 10% to over 80%. A raise in engagement is achieved also with help from our 4th pillar. #4 Co-operating and collaborating with the schools We aim to co-operate with the schools by trying to include our courses in each school’s learning curricula and embed them in the school’s teaching environment. We also aim to collaborate with schools by co-creating courses on topics they want. Searching co-workers with a calling I have been working on this project for a couple of years quite loosely. Soon, when the Helsinki Education Hub starts and opens its doors, we are applying to the EdTech Incubator program. So now is the time to onboard and start the cruise, isn’t it? A person on my wish list for co-founders and early team members could be: - a teacher, educator, course builder, or at least be interested in or somewhat familiar with pedagogy. Curating the courses would be one of the tasks - a tech guy who would run and tackle the Learning Management System or Virtual Learning Environment in all its complexities - a hacker, data guy, designer, or whoever who would join testing and building the product/service in the right direction and helping it grow - an audio/video person who would be in building the courses and participating in the marketing activities broadly understood - a content provider because we are going to build ourselves only some MVP’s - there are many other jobs and tasks you could do, so practically anyone who is self-motivated is welcomed to join! My primary target is to have an impact on my activities. Even though money helps in living, I would rather make a ding in the education universe than get wealthy. I prefer diversity in age, gender, and nationality and I am searching for like-minded people who want to share my calling. I am not inviting you to join right away. Working as a co-founder is like marriage, you just can’t quit when you feel like it. Therefore, it’s best for both parties just to make a small project together and after the experiment, we know how we like to proceed.
